My son and I returned home from Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service(CAMHS), finally with the diagnosis of ADHD. It took 5 years and 2 school exclusions GRRRRRR.

The Psychiatrist had spoken to my son & was very surprised how much he knew about ADHD. I had spoken at length with my son about the condition as I think it is important he understands his body.

I was gob smacked at his question" So what will happen now that I have ADHD"?
I promptly replied " Nothing son you were born with ADHD all it means for you is other people must show you a little bit more understanding and patience".
He walked away grinning like a Cheshire cat :-D
